  3.                         ONE GONE, ONE COMING...

  5.      It's a new year.  All the stuff that just happened has been
  6. relegated to that bin called "Last Year".  New budgets have arrived; so
  7. have new batches of sick leave and vacation time.
  8.      Ruby's Pearls is in its fifth year of continuous monthly
  9. publication--how long can we keep it up?  Longevity is rare in the
  10. virtual world of BBSes and ftp sites.
  11.      With a new year will undoubtedly come new complications, new
  12. opportunities, and a lot of the same stuff we had last year.  O.J hasn't
  13. vanished from the national radar yet, after all.
  14.      This issue of Ruby's Pearls carries a little that ambivalence.
  15. There's some new stuff, some blue stuff, and a little of what you're
  16. used to from our virtuous, uh, virtual friend, Ruby D. Begonia.
